Im Dan. Born in Salt Lake City, and raised in San Mateo, CA. I spent the better part of my childhood eating my vegetables and doing my homework. In a despreate attempt for some attention, I picked up the guitar in high school and began focusing all my time into it. For the past 3 years I have been writing my own music. I was fortunate to play in an amazing band named Table For One. If you havent heard of them, check them out now! Sadly, I had to make the difficult decision to leave the band and go to school in Utah. Now I am back on my own starting up some new projects.
Why this name?
Well, its my name isn't it?
Do you play live?
Yes! I love playing. I play in San Francisco, Oakland, and Utah. Most memorable venue would have to be The Pound in the Hunters Point of San Fran. This is the most ghetto and scariest place you can find in the Bay Area. The venue was totally decked out in Death Metal decoration. It was an odd fit, yet it was a pretty fun show.
Also like to throw acoustic shows in Round Table. I had my first gig there, and as a man of tradition, I like to throw parties there occasionally.
I also like the Muse and Veloure in provo. Both are kinda small but pretty sweet little area to throw a show.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot of good and a lot of bad. Internet net = free exposure which is always a good thing. I have discovered so many awesome bands through the internet. Music has really grown with the internet.
However, with illegal trading and internet sales, cd sales have nose dived and its made it really hard for dedicated musicians to make a decent living.
All in all its good that more bands are given the chance to showcase there work.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why of course.
Your influences?
Dave Matthews Band all the way. Perhaps a little John Mayer and Coldplay.
Favorite spot?
Home town of San Francisco! I enjoy Seattle and New York a lot too.
