Hi! Let me introduce myself to you, I'm a dutch country singer, and I like alot of different music styles like traditional, bluegrass, swing, rock 'n roll etc.
I'm trying to make country music more populair in Holland, and I put alot of work into writing and recording my songs. Take a listen to these songs, I hope you'll like them.
Why this name?
I just liked the name alot...........
Do you play live?
I always play live. I play mainly in Holland, but I've also played in Belgium and Germany.

I love singing, it's a very big and important part of my live, I think that I would die
slowly if there wasn't any music anymore!

I have alot of special moments, but one I'll never forget is that this nice lady came up to me after my performance, took my hand and said that she'd been saving money for a year to take her family with her to this restaurant I perform at, she said that this evening had been so wonderful and great, she was so happy to have been able to share this with friends and family and that I had played a big part in making this possible, she thanked me over and over again.....that's when I realised that every performance can give people a good feeling, that it's not just work, but sharing... As long as there are people out there that I can make happy by my singing, that's what counts.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it brings everybody in the world together. that wasn't possible before internet excisted. I couldn't have done this without the internet!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
This is happening right now...With "Zyx" and "Vanguard"
Band History:
This Dutch countrysinger has really found her mission by performing writing, and singing.
She has been singing in several bands since she was 17 years old.
She started developing her interest for countrymusic in ago, when she met Bob de Jong, a known television producer and crazy about countrymusic.
She got her inspiration from artists like: Kellie Coffey, Sara Evans, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Trick Pony, Danni Leigh, Dixie Chicks, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Pam Tillis, Jill King, Bonnie Raitt and many more!

Shannah was born in Copenhagen, has a Danish mother, a Dutch father and two brothers.
They were brought up with the English language, which is beneficial to everything that has to do with her singing (and songwriting).
Having lived in England for 4 years and one year in the U.S. (Santa Rosa, California) has contributed even more “feeling”with the English language.

Together with Han Epskamp who also writes songs for some famous Dutch artists and the international songcontest (Mai Thai), she has written some songs.
One of those recently written songs got an “Songservice Award” for one of the 3 best composed/ written country songs in Europe.

Shannah won several big awards and a 3rd prize in the Soundmix Pleasure Show (Henny Huisman) with a song called “Promise me”, and performed with some good Dutch artists.
Early 2004 she -together with some other countrysingers- was filmed for several country DVD's.
In 2004/2005 these DVD's were released all over Europe.

In 2005 she joined one of the finest rock'n roll bands of the Netherlands "Of Course", they are also the band of Riem de Wolff (ex Blue Diamond singer.)
George Kwekel is their management: http://www.gocatgo.nl/

In the summer of 2006 she will go on a packagetour, organized by Colonel Robert Morris in Nashville with plans to perform at the Grand ole Opry, Ernest Tubbs Midnight Jamboree and Tootsies, more info about this coming up soon.
