Akhkharu Noctis
NEWS
January 25th, 2004 - We've changed our mind. The next album, will be a full length, containing all new songs, and shall be titled, "Tomb of the Unholy Necrogoat". Once it is finished, we shall spread it around to record labels, hopefully landing a decent deal.
September 3rd, 2004 - The complete Akhkharu Noctis demo will now be titled, "In The Glare Of Burning Inverted Churches", and is scheduled for release in December. It will be limited to 50 hand numbered/signed copies.
July 25th, 2004 - The mp3 version of our demo, "Surrounded By Nocturnal Wrath"' is finished, and can be downloaded from the page!
July 16th, 2004 - We have uploaded a new track, "Crossing The Unholy Passage From Winter Northlands". Our extremely limited demo, "Surrounded By Nocturnal Wrath", shall be ready soon. Only those who are true enough will be recieving a copy (okay, not really, anyone can get one, but it sounds better the other way, doesn't it?)

Akhkharu Noctis play untrue grim, hateful, necro black metal. There are no keyboards, no female vocals, and no breaks... just a relentless onslaught of unholy musical terror.
Our form of black metal is so true, that is has collapsed under the weight of its own trueness, and become the anti-true, or untrue... the purest form of black metal there is. Akhkharu Noctis is a black metal singularity, if you will.

Why this name?
Akhkharu is vampire in Sumerian. We had to tack Noctis to the end of it, since some band had already taken the name 'Akhkharu'.
Do you play live?
Akhkharu Noctis does not, and will not ever, play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It relives us of the task of hanging out at local shows, and trying to hand out tape promos with badly photocopied covers.
Of course, badly photocopied covers are true, whereas mp3 is not true, unless it's in mono, and encoded at 24kbps.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, we would never sign with a major label... death to the mainstream!
Of course, it's easy to say that, seeing as how no major label would be even remotely interested in this type of black metal. I'm sure if a major label offer came along, it would make us more feaverish than a pedophile at a playground.

Band History:
The band has been around, on and off, since mid 1995. We recorded a one song promo under the name 'Veiled' back in 1999. No copies of this exist anymore... the band doesn't even have any copies. There is, however, a low encoded mp3 floating around of the track, titled "In Winter's Heart". If you have this mp3, then you are true... and if you don't, then you're not missing anything anyway.
Your influences?
True Norwegian Black Metal!

Favorite spot?
Our favourite spot is the black one in our cold, lifeless hearts... that, and the spot of mustard on my favourite Emperor shirt that never washed off properly. Curse you mustard, the most untrue of all condiments!
Equipment used:
We use an old pc with an amd k6-2/333 cpu to record, because intel is untrue.
Anything else...?
