How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Every new format has its advantages as well as drawbacks. What formats like mp3's do is broaden the availabillity and makes distribution as well as 'targeting an audience' a lot easier.. one drawback though, for commercial artists, would be that its a bit too easy to 'steal' the music.. It may make it harder to live off of being a 'recording artist'.. Artist will eventually have to find new ways to get paid if they want to survive on the music alone...
