Complexity is comprised of me, Reverend Casper, and is a mix industrial metal with progressive rock influences.
Why this name?
The band name came from the mix of musical influences and lyrical content created for a very different and complex sound, which can't easily be labeled.
Do you play live?
I have yet to play a live show, I can't find musicians in my area with as much sampling knowledge as I need.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet tremendously helps independent artists such as myself present our music to people that wouldn't have a chance to without it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
With the right label, yes.
Band History:
There's not much history to my band. It's just me locked in my studio obsessing and toying with sounds.
Your influences?
Aphex Twin, KMFDM, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Nine Inch Nails, Tweaker, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones.
Favorite spot?
San Diego, California - Anywhere.
Equipment used:
My computer, several recording/mixing programs, my PRS guitar, Crate Amplifier, Cort 5-string bass guitar, Peavey bass amp, and as much influence as I can mentally soak up.
Anything else...?
If you are fluent in industrial, don't expect this to be straight forward in the realm of beats. Some songs are, but I also like a more frantic, spasmatic sound. And I have one full band acoustic song entitled "She1." If you want a more metal, spastic song, listen to "Rough." If you want more straightforward beats, listen to "The Start." Thank you for listening and I love feedback, so don't be afraid to tell me what you think.
