Instrumental electronica that runs the gamut of styles from drum'n bass to ambient and hip-hop.
Why this name?
I'MO spent an entire year lost in the exploding tabernacles of the Emerald City's secret keyboard cults before one of the Gods of Mars appeared to him in a vision and christened him I'MO (sometimes pronounced e-mo, sometimes eye-mo).
Do you play live?
Sometimes E-mo, sometimes Eye-mo.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Sometimes E-mo, sometimes Eye-mo.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes...
Band History:
Hailing from the small southern town of Greenwood, South Carolina, I'MO is the alter-ego of eclectic musician Ian Morris. I'MO was born by accident in the summer of 2000 as Morris refined his electronic musical techniques through the recording of self-released mix CDs and collaboration with several local musicians. May of 2004 saw the release of his first full length album of original music, "Music Keeps Us Together" on the recording label Emerald City Ruins. With this album, Morris hopes to extend his own music into a new realm while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of electronic music outside of the mainstream "club" sound or any other preconceived notions of the genre.
