We had a lot trouble coming up with this name for our band. It was originally "Fate's Descent: then we were "ExhumanatioN" then we were "Purgatory" and now we have finally and permanently settled on "Grimoire." We are going for a sound similar to Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Pantera, Black Label Society, and of course Black Sabbath. Our main musical drive is to bring metal fans back to the days of real heavy metal, not this bullshit going on today with these poser metal bands (I won't name any).

Why this name?
It was slightly evil and the when we wrote it in the style of our logo, it looked cool as hell.
Do you play live?
We're not playing out yet, but as soon as we get a singer, we'll be out and about.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it a lot easier for unsigned bands to get exposure. That's good.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES
Band History:
Carmen was in a band called Sack of 10 in the summer of 2001. He had to play a show at the Beachcomber in Seaside Heights, NJ for Toms River Music's Jam Camp show where another band played that night called Albatross. Mike was in albatross but at the time, Carmen and Mike didn't know each other. Later that year both Mike and Carmen quit those bands and joined up once again. Carmen was walking with his new band, Dysfunctional Barnyard, in one direction through the parking lot of the Seacourt Plaza in Toms River, NJ. Mike and his new band, Cultivate The Grave, we're walking in the opposite direction in the same parking lot. They all met up and began to talk. The wednesday of the week after this all happened, Cultivate The Grave went to Carmen's house to try him out as the drummer for their band. He was in. After about 6 long months of hardwork, arguments, and pizza, Carmen and Mike quit Cultivate The Grave to start their own, Drama-Free, Heavy Metal band.
