Band History:
Da Sixth Sun a.k.a. Six is a hip-hop lyricist who emerges from the streets of “Dirty Jerz” with a distinct sound that is destined to impact the music industry! This 25 year old Trenton native has already been paving a path for his career nationally and internationally as well by gaining support from various radio station host and international magazines as well.
His first single “Genie” is a radio friendly party track that deals with the promiscuous lifestyles of today’s teens. “Genie” comes of as a well rounded, but humorous song as it deals with the perspective views of both male and female and its catchy chorus is sure to become the players anthem of the new millennium. Also making appearances on this track is Unfound mate Drunk Minister and former Source Unsigned Hype winner Chocolate. Each emcee’s lyrical input combines to make this track a masterpiece!
“Da Sixth Sun mit,, Genie,” funky, funky, fresh for you Tape Decks – da geht was!” – Gizmo, Backspin Magazine Vol. No. 24

On the flip side Six “keeps it gutter” with Street Life. Narrated by Drunk Minister Street Life is a song about the ills of inner city living. Six takes us on the other side of the tracks as he delivers harsh details about the lifestyles and views of today’s urban city youth. Six flows superbly over a piano track that is laced with gunshot effects produced by Masada. With Drunk Minister narrating this piece it only adds flavor to the track and the outro which is very reminiscent to Vincent Price gives Street Life that grimy and dark feeling that makes Street Life a Hit.
On other songs such as “Time to Shine” and “Thug sh*** six shows and proves his ability to remain consistent with making hot music with his inept ability to create catchy hooks and lyrics that actually mean something Six is showing that he has lasting power and everything it takes to make it in the Music Business!
On his last track Word War III Six shows that he fears no one and he can take on any challenger with his witty punchlines and creative styles.
What the future holds for six only time can tell as he just came off a East Coast promotional tour at which he gained support from College radio stations and late night mix shows who continue to give him airplay.
