CLICK ON THE WORD "MUSIC" ABOVE. DON'T STOP HERE. LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. Just a regular guy who loves music and was, and is, one of those people who always wished they were in a band. Then I got my computer and found out with some music software, I could put loops and samples together to make music. I found the eJay software first. I also like it the most. I have Magix, but haven't really put together anything that I really feel good about. I'm playing with the Hammerhead software. It's a drum machine. And it's cool. Also fooling around with a program called BUZZ.
Why this name?
While in the Navy, I had a friend from Jersey that gave me the tag "SamuraiSam". So when I started with the music I dropped the Sam and added the DJ. Although I realize now that I'm not a "DISC JOCKEY"
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well the internet has allowed for a quicker and wider range of sharing music. And MP3 has allowed for that music to be moved easier on the internet as well as more storage space for music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure I could see myself doing that.
Your influences?
My parents first. Dad was a self taught "country" guitar player. Oldies rock and roll, country and western, 60's rock and roll, 70's disco, and electronica.
Favorite spot?
Favorite spot would be the "Carribian" (I hope spelling doesn't count) Favorite city would be "Chicago"
Equipment used:
HP Pavilion PC w/eJay software, Hammerhead Drum Machine.
Anything else...?
