A performance by Sean McGaughey is hard to define
  • Is he a singer-songwriter of wit and political insight?

  • Is he a children's entertainer who gets children young and old to singing and dancing?

  • Is he a performer of humorous and satirical songs?

  • Is he an interpreter of the best in traditional and contemporary folk and country music?

  • Is he that guy over there in the duct-tape hat?

  • Over the past year, Sean has been focusing on his songwriting. The results were recorded live in concert in December 2003. They are here for you to enjoy.
Why this name?
I didn't.
My parents chose it for me.
I was eighteen before I could spell it.
Do you play live?
I am a performing member of the Good Vibes Coffeehouse in Mt. St. Louis, Ontario.
I play various festivals and open stages around Midland and Simcoe County Ontario.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has opened up the world to independent musicians.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as there are bidding wars to sign folk singers ...

I'm waiting...

I'm still waiting ...
