[noise surfing ambient robot-talking space pop]

the bubble project. top secret military operation at area 51? no. experiment involving the worlds greatest scientific minds to find power for interstellar travel? no. four young pop scientists experimenting with sound to push forward pop music? yes. carrying out their experiments at a secret location in sunderland north east england, these four pop scientists are dedicated to thinking outside the square of contemporary pop music. their research began in february 2003 when scientists helen, ian, stephen and tim met via modern technology. research began slow, but they have made some successful findings. their ten most successful findings were recorded to tape in september 2003 in a document called ‘head-wires and stereos’. the project continue to move forward and are making new findings on a regular basis. experiments in surf have began to take place.

Do you play live?
we gig regularly in the north of england (mainly sunderland, newcastle, durham) and have a UK tour coming up this October.

everything from obscure surf bands to classic rock and heavy metal, from punk/ska to ambient beat based soundscapes and catchy pop
Favorite spot?
our practice studio in the Bunker, Sunderland, where the magic happens!
