Teenage Girls is a rock quartet existing in Philadelphia, PA, that has succeeded in formulating a sound that encompasses all the great things about rock. Critics and fans alike enjoy the band's intelligent lyrics and Rock and Roll mannerisms and maneuverings.
Essentially, Teenage Girls exist as rock and roll. Their style and live performances have been described as "controlled pop chaos." Others have referred to them as "a post-modern social blitzkrieg that that laughs at angst, openly disdains the radio industry and engages all things rock."
We're not quite sure what that means, but it sounds laudingly pretentious and we're sure that we love pretense.
TG recently recorded a track for MTV's "Lit Riffs" soundtrack. To purchase the CD, visit www.samrecords.net.

Why this name?
No name in the history of rock is more memorable. Same old, same old, genius.
Do you play live?
Every show is a special moment. We rock like Magic Kisses.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
P2P -- we're FOR it
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Despite all the bad rap the industry gets, we still want our shot.
Band History:
TG: Corrupting America's Youth since 2000. It all started on the campus of Indiana U of Pa. Since then the group has seen many, many incarnations but today, three of the four members were there from the start.
Your influences?
Crashing guitars and sinister groove. Although we bring sh*** skinny cracker style.
The Smiths, Tool, Eric Bachman, They Might Be Giants, early Radiohead, Jawbox, although we sound like none of those artists.

Anywhere we're playing at that given moment. And, the croquet course.
