Zentrifuge is a project I started in June of 2004. It started as just having little fun with fruity loops and I really liked what I came up with. So I decided to write another, and another. Soon, I came to realize I had nearly enough material for an album. Being a previous MP3.com artist, I figured why not continue on. Thus Zentrifuge was born.
Why this name?
I had been thinking about using that name for a band in the past. Plus it just seem to fit with what I had going with this project.
Do you play live?
No live performances, as of now. Figuring out how to make that work would be quite a challange.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it really brings down the wall that was blocking alot of really talented artist from ever getting heard. Myself being one of those people. No one, but anyone I knew personally would ever hear my music if Mp3's and the internet were not available.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No doubt. Reason being, thats backing. I would be very careful about the contracts I signed though.
Band History:
See the introduction above.
Your influences?
Lots of different kinds of metal from, Metallica to Emperor. Classical music, like Mozart and Wagner. Different types of techno, like Daf Punk and Enigma.
Favorite spot?
Wherever I happened to be at the time. Though I've always wanted to go to Germany.
Equipment used:
Ibanez S540, Fruity Loops 4, Zoom 9002 F/X pedal, Rocktek Bass EQ pedal.
