From the dead of the night come three fiends with nothing on their minds except rocking your socks off and keeping it dead. With a catchy blend of fast as hell riffs and bad Jorge(Casualties)-ish vocals, NeverLight will rip your flesh from your bones and do a little dance with it.
Why this name?
Umm.... Something about a lighter that would never light, hence "NeverLight"
Do you play live?
YES! WE DO! Well, twice. We've played a gig at the Princeton Rec. w/ The Hypodermix &others, plus a Battle of the Bands which we sorta came in second. Long story... I personally love it. And I think I can speak for the rest of the guys when I say we all do.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it helps to spread the word about underground bands such as ourselves that otherwise would only be heard mainly in their hometowns
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not at the moment. We're still trying to get ourselves tight. And in the near future, I think we'd like to sign to a smaller label, possibly @ntidote if we can get on it. But that still will be some time before we get thinking about labels.
Band History:
Conceived in fall of 2003 by Blaad Cruentus, NeverLight began horrifying. Though most of it was from the hideous “singing” of guitarist/vocalist Vladimir Miraculo, everything began shaping up. In their short existence, NL has had several lineups. The only two that have seen NL through almost the entire way are Vlad and Blaad. The original lineup included Tyler Rajeski on drums. Blaad temporarily left the band at the dawn of the New Year, leaving Tyler and Vlad on their own along with a second guitarist. It was decided a name and style change was in order, so the band’s name was changed to DRIFT. That band never went past there. In the early days of March 2004, Vladimir went to Blaad in an attempt to reanimate the band with the help of a new drummer, Tepesa. Later Jester Catastrophe joined up on lead vox, though because of parental problems, hasn’t been able to practice with the band yet. Though he will. NeverLight made its official public debut on May 28, 2004, opening up for The Hypodermix in Princeton, WV. Much more mayhem is planned for the future, so keep up with the dead.

Equipment used:
Vladimir Miraculo: Epiphone Les Paul Special II guitar, Dunlop picks, Kustom/Randall/Sunn amps (Except on these recordings, I used a Randall half stack), ZOOM processor (on these recordings), Ibanez SF-something Flanger, DigiTech RP80 processor
Tepesa: Yamaha Stage Custom drums, whatever sticks won't break, sometimes uses Lars Ulrich signature sticks, Zildjian titanium cymbals, Pacific double bass pedal

Anything else...?
Many, MANY thanks to Keenan Murphy, for being our sound engineer for earlier recordings, letting Vlad use his amp and pedal, and anything and everything else that he has done in the past and shall do in the future! Many a show with Under A Nightmare looms in the future...
