Our songs have often been classified as alternative music, but in essence, we are crossing and deconstructing musical genres. our lyrics draws you to listen and think about things...beautiful and ugly, love and hate, opposite and alike; “Yung tipong yayakapin ka ng tunog”.
We wanted to be storytellers and mockers of evil doers. We wanted to assimilate personal situations and social conditions to our songs, may it be plain love story or social/political issues. We wanted to have a voice and give voices to the unheard.

Why this name?
the band's name before was "The Blankets" then "Blankets" In 2003 We decided to carry the name “earthfishfish”(FYI: that’s Jeff’s email address which means a land dwelling fish)
Do you play live?
We do actually enjoy the rush of performing live. we played at 70's Bistro, Magnet Cafe, Conspiracy Bar, Freedom Bar. Earthfishfish also performance in art spaces, festivals etc..
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it'll be easier to share the gift of music (deep)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
if they'll asure us that they wouldn't tamper the creative process that we love and no altering of songs to cater their own idea of good quality music just to sell.
Band History:
Jeff Carnay & Mark Cea decided to form a band in the summer of ’98; a collective; writing songs together. Enter Dante Castillo Jr. in the year 2001 they call themselves “the blankets”, immediately followed by Maan de Loyola , which lead to the group’s growth and deepen its musical philosophy.
In 2003 They decided to carry the name “earthfishfish”(FYI: that’s Jeff’s email address which means a land dwelling fish). Shortly after that Domeng Molina Jr and AJ Tolentino were added to the group.
After several attempts of finding a drummer, percussionist and bassist that best suits the band, the final line up for earthfishfish was completed:
Jeff Carnay (vocals)
Dante Castillo Jr (lead guitar and vocals)
Maan de Loyola (rhythm guitar and vocals)
Agape Joy Tolentino (percussions and vocals)
Carl Lopez (drums)
Buboy Panaligan (bass guitar)
