From a background of Rock n Roll (Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Stone Roses), Hip Hop (Wutang Clan, 2Pac) Dance (Paul Oakenfold, Chemical Brothers) and Alternative styles (Peter Gabriel, Frank Zappa) came Stone Cold Rumours. A young rock band coming from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. A style based on the influences noted above proves to work well, a hard rock groove based sound.

They aim to create the sound and songs for the youth of today, and the past of tomorrow, with a positive "Live the Dream Vibe" rather than today's fashionable "I Hate Myself and I want To Die Pose" and other Cobain influenced cynical rot.

Band History:
It all started out back in May 2002, when Liam met Hissi in Expo niteclub. He had not seen him in a long time and they got to talking. Hissi was talking about learning guitar and forming a band, and Liam was desperate to find a new band after several failed attempts. Liam talked Hissi into learning bass and they talked up a new band.

Round about the same time Tiger, a friend of Hissi's from school, moved in nearby. Tiger was a guitarist of a really high standard and had a lot of the same influences as Liam and Hissi. Shortly after that Tiger agreed to become part of the band.

In October 2002, still without a drummer, things were'nt really happening, but by luck Liam met Furrett at a party. They had played in bands before and Liam knew Furrett was a good drummer.

A few weeks later on a drinking bender, Furrett invited himself into the band. So the line up was in place. Liam (vocals), Tiger (guitar), Hissi (bass) Furrett (drums).

It was not until April 2003 that the band had a proper rehearsal, but when it came it proved successful. They nailed a cover of "Whole Lotta Love" and worked on a tune Liam and Tiger had done at home that night "Sing a Little Song for Me" was born.

From then on they rehearsed every week and built up a set of songs.

They played their first gig in August of 2003 at Strawberry Fields in Glasgow. They went down a storm, and still have the CD recording to prove it, good enough to catch the attention of Statue Records in Los Angeles, who wanted them to sign a distribution contract after hearing "Sing a Little Song for Me" on Soundclick.

They continued to play the Glasgow Circuit faithfully until they met the first big set back. In October 2003 Furrett decided he had had enough and left the band. The week he left the band they had four gigs lined up.

Luckily they got hooked up with new drummer Martin Fennell. The new drummer clicked straight away with the sound, and after one rehearsal they played their first gig.

Hissi met Fennell for the first time on stage, prior to playing their first gig together.

The set went down a storm, and the "Rumours" went marching on.

The following week the Rumours reached the semi final of the Glasgow "Battle of The Bands".

They also managed to grab a support slot for Tiger's idols "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" on Boxing Day 2003.

Their new EP will be released in America early in 2004, under Statue Records, and will be available on the internet as well.

Anyway the Rumours will march on with the positive attitude that has carried them this far.
