Hello! This is Brian Knight, lead singer/songwriter for the self-titled band Brian Knight. Don't expect a CD in store any time soon, but you should definitely enjoy my Acoustic Fun here on SoundClick.
Why this name?
Funny story, actually.

My mom and dad gave it to me the day I was born.
Do you play live?
Well, I sing live, at my church, Thornapple Covenant in Grand Rapids Michigan - but not these songs. I freaking love it! I'll absolutely miss it when I leave.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Oh, it's a huge revolution. Artists - big name artists - are already starting to sell full albums without cutting a vinyl, dubbing a tape or pressing a CD thanks to services like the iTunes Music Store.

Second-rate garage bands can build audiences in parts of the world they didn't even know existed through a site like SoundClick.

Me? I carry my entire CD collection in my pocket everywhere I go with Apple's iPod. The revolution starts NOW.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't foresee it in my future, I've got a very rewarding career with the United States Navy for AT LEAST six more years. And besides, I like publishing my own music.
Band History:
No history. I've been recording songs that I write or that have special meaning to me since about September for my friends to hear.
Your influences?
Everything influences me. Seriously. Except for country; that tends to influence me to shoot the radio.
Favorite spot?
Grand Rapids Michigan!
Equipment used:
Just my guitar, my voice and my PowerBook's built in microphone. Oh, and a piano when I have access to one.
