This was originally for my band "attic analogy" which no longer exists... I now write my own acoustic songs and use this site to host them or other garbage sound files I want hosted. Enjoy.
Why this name?
My given name was Kurtis Collette, did not play a part in choosing it.
Do you play live?
No, I have a slight issue with playing and singing at the same time. I have played live before at the collective though (winnipeg, manitoba, canada)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Creates more exposure for bands, although MP3 sharing hurts record companies, and since its so easy & cheap for everyone to record nowadays, there are so many artists, and bands that due to the numbers, its hard to get famous or shine about all the rest. There are also a lot of poor talent that is making it big. The mainstream music now is not nearly as good or enjoyable to listen to as it used to be.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In a heartbeat. I want to do this for a living, 24/7 and not have to work another job to support it... more time for music :)
