The Beyond is an ambient-industrial project from Bucharest, Romania. The Beyond music is supposed to be a pleasant combination of some of the elements of the following genres: ambient, industrial, medieval, and noise.
The Beyond represents the unseen part of things, those misterious things that don't cease to fascinate us and that, most of the times, set our imagination free. The Beyond promotes freedom in thinking and encourages the discovery and contemplation of all the universe's misteries
„Mistery is the most beautiful and deep human experience"
Albert Einstein

Why this name?
The Beyond is more than music, it's a concept, and, as the name says it, it's trying to deal with themes that aren't very well known, and make them more popular to the public.
Do you play live?
Nope, i don't play live and i'll probably never will.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I'm not sure...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think major labels will ever sign with artists like me...major labels deal with comercial music.
Band History:
The idea of this musical combination appeared long time ago, when being so impressed by the experimental music, i decided that one day i'll be able to compose something similar but in my own way.
The first album was released very late, because of different problems. The name of the album is “Noise Pollution” released, on an auto-produced CD, in 2002. The CD has 15 tracks with an industrial sound, and is trying to keep the listener in almost continuous tension...as the name of the album says the music is very noisy.
After i had finised "Noise Pollution" i've started a new album, and this time i wanted the music to be more plesant to the ear, meaning not that noisy, with more keyboards and effects...it took me two years to finish it, but i didn't mind waiting so long because time means inspiration.
Discography :
-----------
2002 "Noise Pollution" CD 15/tracks time: 1Hr.03'
2004 "No Trespassing" CD 12/tracks time: 43'14"

Your influences?
I was very impressed by the soundtrack of the 2nd terminator movie which was composed by Brad Fiedel, a man that i admire a lot for this reason. Perhaps most of the influences are comming from his music.
Other influences come from The Future Sound of London, another unique band with some weird music and from Aphex Twin.

Favorite spot?
I don't think i have one...
Equipment used:
I'm not using any of the conventional instruments or hardware equipment for my music, all the music is made with the computer, using some programs like Acid or Sound Forge.
Anything else...?

I would like people to understand that there is more than what they see on tv when it comes to music...it's underground music...it does exist and it's for qualified ears.
