Vela is a husband and wife dreampop duo from Indiana. In 1999 Jason and Kate Robbins were driven to create a unique sound that would set their band apart from the mainstream, but at the same time would captivate a wide range of fans. The band knew that by bringing in a variety of their influences and cultivating them into a single entity, it would evoke a sense of familiarity and acceptance in their listeners.
