Band History:
Reason For Apathy is not your usual high school rock and roll band. With their unique style and frequently improvised stage performances, they have created their very own place in the young music environment. In 2002, Reason For Apathy began as a heavier band, consisting of four members; Miles, Jamie, Sean, and Matt. After Miles moved, Jamie also left the band. It seemed as though Reason For Apathy was pretty much finished, but Sean and Matt still had a show scheduled, so they played on their own. Ben was at the show that night, and having been longtime friends with Sean, and having played an acoustic show with him in August of that year, he joined the band, and they played their first show as a trio on December 6th, 2002 at the Loveland High School battle of the bands. In the beginning, their musical style still resembled it's earlier hard rock nature, but as they each began to contribute more and more to the group as a whole, a fully original sound was created. After the success of Sean's peculiar ballad "One, Two, Three," they decided that unusual was the way to go. From the shadowy orchestral tone of "Black Heart", to the upbeat, bouncy cadence of "One Way Street", to the never-played-the-same-way-twice rock frenzy of "Headed My Way," The band always has new surprises in store with each performance. Recently, the band has been working on more acoustic material, due to the condition of Matt's arm, but he should be back with the band by the beginning of summer. Also, with the addition of a new member coming up, this year is looking up for Reason For Apathy. Ben Berger - Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards Matt Thomas - Drums Sean Sullivan - Guitars Mike Hamer - Bass
