Bovver Brigade is as Street punk band from the east coast of Sweden. We are so apolitical that it could be mistaken for a political statement. We play straight old fashion oi/streetpunk and the lyrics are mostly about the life in the street, the frustration in being young or simply about thing we like or dislike.
Why this name?
Cause it sounded good and it has connections way back in the streetpunk culture.
Do you play live?
Yes, sometimes, but it isn't too easy to get gigs when you play our kind of music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's easier to find new bands and it's easier for new bands to get out. It will promote quality I think.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, why not, if it's a good deal?
Band History:
We have been struggling for about two years, made som gigs and three demo recordings.
Your influences?
Old english bands like Cock SParrer, the business, condemned 84 and some old swedish punk rock.
