My name is Jeff. I write and play stuff using Chapman Stick, guitar, synths and loops.
Why this name?
My influences are my collective "Svengali"... the "Debris" is the material I write as a result of my influences filtering through.
Do you play live?
Diavibe performed four times in Kansas City before breaking up in Feb of '04. Currently writing new material and getting back into synths.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We have much broader access to unsigned acts and a way to collaborate across great distances.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I play for my own benefit.
Band History:
Diavibe lasted three years before breaking up. It was the only conduit for my songs I've ever had.

I have been playing and recording off and on for twenty years. My only brush with fame was a short-lived stint playing guitar for Trent Reznor on the Pretty Hate Machine demos.

Your influences?
King Crimson, Gabriel-era Genesis, Cocteau Twins, The Fixx, Rush, John McLaughlin, Trey Gunn, Ozric Tentacles, Sting, XTC, Mr. Bungle, Warren Cucurullo, David Torn, Mick Karn, David Sylvian, Zero 7, Mike Oldfield among others.
