Hey everyone! Welcome to my SoundClick band page. I'm Evan Barnes, the guy behind Hybrid Sphere, and I'm one of only two monarchs of Spoiler Nation (more to come on that in the futurrrre). I'm still developing my style and learning music theory, so don't be surprised when my style varies from song to song. This music project of mine has been going on since I was about 13 (now I'm 20), so a lot of the music on here is from years ago! My style has changed since then. Regardless, I hope you can find something that pleases you (in whatever way you want) while you're here!
Why this name?
The name came to me in a vision.
Do you play live?
No, I don't play live yet, although I'm hoping to start doing so sometime soon!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows people to try an artist to see if they like that artist. Then, they can buy from that artist if they feel that the album is worth buying. It also allows small name artists, like me, to get recognized. Even more then that, though, it allows people to establish massive webs of communication so that we can all learn each others tricks and really push hard on the edge of the envelope. The internet makes music (especially electronic music) evolve faster than it ever could have before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably! What do you mean by major? I doubt I'd sign with Disney, if that's what you mean, cause I don't think they'd like me doin it baby style.
Band History:
So when I was 12, I was like, damn I love electronic music! So I asked for Reason 2.5 and a MIDI keyboard for my 13th birthday, and I've been using that same gear ever since! I took a few years off from making beats for some reason, but I've been back into with a VENGEANCE lately, and I'm determined to push myself right to the edge of my creative limitations, if not further. Music (mostly electronic) and all things associated with it are some of my most intense passions, and I'm stoked to be back into creating it, and not just listening.
