Why this name?
I dont remember,I guess my friends just started calling me that when they heard me play drums.And after a while it started spreading around and now most people know me as StiX rather than Jose. The only people that know my real name are my best friends and family.
Do you play live?
Well, I do play live but with different bands. With the curent bands I am in, we have only played one big gig,it was as at a party.We have also played at kickbacks,and at my moms bithday party.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes, it influences the music industry because it gets the underground bands exposed all around the world instantly.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, it is not my first priority but I do plan on using my talents as a way of life; and getting a record label is the way.
Your influences?
I'm really weird because I listen to everything.lamb of god, slipknot, killswichengage, sepultura, soil work, primus, chevelle, the beatles, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, blink 182, e town concrete, La Ley, Heroes del Silencio, etc.
Favorite spot?
That would have to be my garage, because it is my chill out place.That is where I learned how to play drums and guitar, so I am used to the ambiance there. I also created a studio in the garage and now it is even more fun to be in it because you can watch TV, listen to music, play music, chill, and record.
