When I dream I dream in Movies and every short is interlude by the narcotic rhythm of Drum and base. Images panning left and right on the value dial like sound sampling in true stereo. I am Deliberate Seismic Power and Electronic Counter Culture is my game. Do you want to play on my court? Remember the first sample is always free. Clad in plastic skirt and wrapped in your preconceived misconceptions you’re swept away by the pulsing power of the bass and blinded by the 8mm images of reality. Want the Truth all I can offer you is my truth and that truth is Counter Culture spinning off the turn tables shattering Hollywood like so many break beats amplified by the Electricity of the crowed. Why this name?
I chose my band name because I had heard this crazy idea that the greatful dead had choosen their band name buy just opening the dictionary to two pages and picking two words and those words were greatful and dead. So I did the same thing only with three words and the words I got were. Deliberate, Seismic and Power. Thusly D.S.P was born
Do you play live?
Currently I play live but not the music i wrote. Not yet any way. I just strated this music making thing at the begining of the year (2000) but i had been playing dance music for about two years before that so when I play live i play music on a roland MC-505 and a Sp-808. I have orignial sounds on both of those instraments but as of yet they not included in the music I have made on the computer witch is where the music I have here has come from
If you make it big..?
If I make it big then I will start making albums an videos together. SO when you buy the newest thing by D.S.P You will be also getting a tape or something that has a video for every song and when they are played together you get something really special
Band History:
Like I said earlier I just started this whole thing so there isn't much of a history. I started writing music with a computer program at the start of the year. I loved it so much that it is pretty much all I do now. I wanted to share my music with everybody so here i am. Is it good enough to share? You tell me!
Your influences?
Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM and now MDFMK is my biggest influence as far as just getting out there and making music is conserned. As fare as sound i think that DJ Sasha, Fluke, the Propellerheads, and The Prodigy are the bands that I got my ideas for my songs from.
Favorite spot?
There is a bluff in scottland that some of my friends and i found. We nicknamed it "the Pad" thats my favorite spot on earth
