August 29, 2007 marks two years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita made landfall in Louisiana. Many Louisiana fishermen and farmers this day are still recovering and are diligently working toward a positive future.

The third song above, Loving Louisiana, is dedicated to them for their resolve to come back and do what they do best…feed you and me some of the best seafood in the world and wonderful farmed products. Please forward this song to your friends and family.

Thanks,

Ewell Smith

I also recently posted two songs sung by my wife Jenny...please check out Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross. I wrote a song called She Sings Like an Angel...I believe when you hear her songs you just might agree with me...she sings circles around me....enjoy.

Below is a list of all the songs I have posted from my first CD titled AMDG which is Latin for Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam. Translated it means "To the Greater Glory of God".

Long story short, I've come to realize the importance of my faith the past few years hence inspiring three of the songs on my CD: Lord I Pray, She Sings Like an Angel and the anchor song of the CD, AMDG. The other songs on the CD were written over years and looking back at them, they too, were definitely influenced; I suppose my faith has always been there even though shaky at times. Realizing the blessings in my life were provided by God I couldn't think of a better way to share that simple message than through my music.

All the songs on this CD were done in one or two takes providing a very raw and intimate feeling, almost as if I am in your living room playing for you. Please take a minute to enjoy them from the Music link above. I encourage you to send this link to all your friends and family to help share a positive message.

Again, I appreciate your visit; please don’t hesitate to contact me though the Contact Info link.

Have an awesome and blessed day!

Ewell Michael Smith

PS I share the story behind the title of this cd and the song AMDG ...see the song AMDG below. This cd also serves as a thank you to the Jesuits in New Orleans.
