Well, easy really, as i'm the only member of the band it was only natural to use my real life name. Hence stuartsmithmusic was born. I didn;t want any tacky solo-esy ego strokin, alternative name so here it is.

well it opens a whole new world for smaller bands that like thier material heard by people all around the world, what more could a artist ask for? and for that reason alone i think it's all good!

hmmm always a tough question. i dont know who my influences are but i can tell you who i listen to the most. u2, the cure, jewel, curtis mayfield, tool, soul asylum, aretha franklin, goo goo dools, pink floyd, any top 40, counting crows, diana krall, david bowie.... the list is endless
