"The Yakkers" were an offshoot of an earlier Zzaj Productions group, "The Imaginary Band". T.I.B. was joined by John Alkins on percussion/keyboards, making the dynamic much different, ergo a new band.
Why this name?
It came from some study about computer hackers; just seemed a natural based on the kind of music we played
Do you play live?
Only in the Zzaj Productions studios
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the dynamic (almost) totally
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubtful... we'll see when they call... :-)
Band History:
Kramtones (aka Harlan Mark Vale), Zzaj (Dick Metcalf) and Peter Tomshany had played together on numerous CD's before "The Yakkers". When John Alkins joined them, the new name became a matter of history
