This page is strictly for Papi da Ladies Man. I just moved from L.V. to Atlanta. I'm not really worried about catching a major record deal, but whatever happens, happens. I'm getting ready to drop my solo album entitled "Valedictorian", look for it later on in 2006. Much luv to the whole original Wreck-A-Lot Fam. I gotta take the time out to say R.I.P. to Chris Mark, Chad Maclies, Dustin "DC" Clemons, and Chris Smith. These last couple of years have really been trying, so I really want to give thanks to God for giving me the strength to endure it all, "I Can Do All Things..."(Phil. 4:13). Keep God on your side and you can never go wrong. Also I decided that I want to be that one that can make hit tracks without all the vulgarity....so expect a new and improved Papi from hear on out.....now lets get it.
Why this name?
My name actually derived from one of my first girls friends when I was in school on the Papi part. Then the Ladies Man came because I know alot of women, and no matter if I flirt or not it always seems that women stay around me.
Do you play live?
I havent actually done any live performances yet, but if the occasion calls for it, I am willing to do it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet provides easier marketing for the music industry, although sometimes the free downloads and other venues can take away from the profits of an artist, I still think it is important to have your music marketed online. You just simply reach more people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as the terms are right and the influence. I am not motivated by money, although it is nice to have. I refuse to compromise my being, for a dollar that wont last forever.
Your influences?
I grew up on Swishahouse, you know Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, so thats where I first got my influence. But now I've grown to admire artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z, and I even admire Will Smith. I have become more of a lyricist than just a "music" listener. If you learn to listen to the words of a song, you could actual learn alot.
Favorite spot?
The "Ville" is my home, but I rest my head in the ATL. So they are both my favorite spots.
Equipment used:
A Pen and Pad is all I need.
