Real Name - Dave Evans. Primarily a songwriter, I played guitar and sang in original local bands with names like Destiny, Streetwise, Windstorm. Of these, Windstorm had the most potential. Before imploding, we opened shows for a few 70s and 80s luminaries.

Why this name?

There are far too many Dave Evans' in the music business. Besides, it describes my odds of making it big. I always wanted to use it as an actual band name but other voices prevailed.

Do you play live?

Not so much anymore. There is nothing like a live, appreciative audience. On the contrary, there is nothing like playing for people who have no interest in what you are doing.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It has knocked the music industry for a loop. Anyone with the desire can get their music heard all over the world.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

When they come beating down my door I'll give it consideration.

Your influences?

Beatles, Stones, LRB, Van Morrison. I enjoy all kinds of music, rock, jazz, blues, country, motown, but tend to gravitate towards melodic vocal groups with strong harmonies.
