Pure country the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
Why this name?
Blame my parents
Do you play live?
I used play, but when the kids came along, it didn't fit into my life any longer. My primary instrument is pedal steel guitar but I do sing a little and pluck around with other instruments. I've sort of come full circle with my music. My first love was music and all I ever wanted was to play, didn't matter where or when. I played so much it became almost a job. Now I don't even play for money and the only reason to play is for the love of it. Right back where I started, broke and in love.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I guess the folks in court these days might have a better answer than I. Seriously, the net has changed everyone's life, some good some bad. It's still pretty amazing technology that provides an opportunity to share within a larger community than ever possible before the net came along.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I have no allusions of grandeur, I enjoy music as a hobby and I would probably rather sell a song than to spend my life beating on the doors of music row.
Band History:
I think the longest playing band I was involved in was a band called Fireball and before that was a band called Krossfire, with almost the same members. We had a lot of success and won the state true-value contest a couple of years. But I loved the music and the jokes between us most of all. I also did a solo act for awhile called Short Circuit. This act was a mix of live and midi.
Your influences?
I am really a musician and not a singer. In fact I rarely sang in the band. I sing now because people would get tired of listening to me play all instrumentals. So many of my influences are the nameless musicians who make the music. I grew up listening to Merl, I loved what he could put across. Cash, Haggard, and Jones, hey what's left. Today I enjoy Strait, Jackson, Garth, Shania, Keith, Chestnut, Ball, and oh so many more. I am really impressed with Brad Paisley and that new Gretchin red-neck woman is an awesome song. I am still being influenced everyday, and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

Equipment used:
What a question. I have many instruments of different makes and models. This recording I did completely on my computer. My computer is not anything great, just a 450 P3. The sound card was an older model that only could produce 16 bit at 48 Hz. I think before I take another stab I am going to update. I used cakewalk to record each track and mix down.
Anything else...?
I wish I had more time for music. I work full time for a Community College, have a couple of sidelines, a farm, and two kids that I prefer to put first instead of last. Sometimes months go by without hardly picking up an instrument.
