16-year-old island rapper, ANDRE CHRISTIAN, a.k.a. "Kmnite" (Caymanite) issues a warning to anyone in his path to musical success to "Make Way" - which is also the title of his recent radio hit.
Rapping a path to greatness, his tracks and live performances blaze with explosive lyrical flow and hard hitting punch lines. "Kmnite" has had success with his local radio singles, taking his Valentines' song "L.O.V.E." to the top of local charts in February.
Similarly, "Make Way" is now number 1 on the local sounds countdown. This young West Bayer has mixed original beats on all the top programmes,
and has written tight lyrics for about four years.
He is now focusing on honing his mad lyrical skills. Recent successes included collaborations with fellow young rappers, male and female, especially the Lynch Mob team. He personally selects and often co-produces the music tracks with his production team, The Hit Depot, -- who will produce his upcoming debut album.
"Kmnite" is taking musical talent to another level, coming hotter and hotter with each track. Steadily opening eyes to the fact that he is one of the world's great young writers and performers, his drive is, "To ignite the Caymanian people's support for local artists. By my name it plain to see that I'm the people's artist, and that I represent all three Cayman Islands to the fullest."

Why this name?
KMNITE (Caymanite) is a rare rock that is found in the Cayman Islands. We polish it and make it into great jewelry. I'm KMNITE, a shell with the potential to be great if manufactured right.
Do you play live?
Yeh I do stage peformances...I love it...I like to hear a crowd scream for more. They adrenaline rush of the live music booming and bass thumping is a great feeling.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it could make or break an artist. Either you get big promotion, big money or get big promotion, little money because of bootleggers.
Although I think MP3 is a excelent idea I think as far as transferring music over the net, it is popular to bootleg with.
