Particle Son is

Jared Scott(keyboards, programming, trash cans)
Nathan Malin (5 and 6 string guitar)
Dusty Powers (vox)
Why this name?
it's a play on words for the most part, illuding to Child Prodigys
Do you play live?
Anywhere and anytime we get the chance, big venues, small venues, burning churches, bar mitzvas
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Obviously it changes how listeners get their music, there's no longer a huge need for music stores. I personaly love possessing the ability of downloading music since cd's are rediculously expensive, if I like an artist from the mp3's I download then I'll go buy the cd instead of wasting nearly $20 or more on a cd I hate.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not, we're not in it for the money. If we can do what we love and make enough to make that our primary occupation that would be optimal but if that means signing to a label that's going to require massive changes to what we're doing then they can stick that right up their ass.
Band History:
Particle Son is the creation of Jared Scott who gave birth to it in 1994 in southern california with two other members. Jared put the project on hold after he moved to Southern Oregon in the late 90's where he quickly met and signed Nathan Malin on as the new guitarist. Not long after, Jared ran into Dusty Powers with whom he bonded quickly with due to similar interests in music.
