Why this name?
SteeZ is a "Snoopified" version of my nickname "Stykz", a name i got running track & field (Long Beach St.) for being skinny lol. MaQ = (M)eeting (A)LL (Q)ualifications, something i try to do in my everyday life, in EVERYTHING i do. Gives me a reason to always work towards improvement, u feel me?
Do you play live?
Absolutely. Have rocked joints in NorCal and SoCal, coming soon 2 a block near u.....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
More exposure for emcees who would probably go unheard without it. It also levels the playing field between big name artists and "no-name" emcees, putting the pressure on the listener to develop the ability to judge artists by their WORK, not their promo. CAN NOT forget to put your feet to the pavement though, no question....
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
if the price and conditions were right, and I have FULL artistic control, why the hell not?
