I have recently started tinkering with electronic music and it is just one of the awesomeest mediums to produce music with. I am actively making music, not full time though and I aim to bring out an album somewhere in the future.
Why this name?
I live in the Western Cape, South Africa and I dig going up into the mountains. One of the inhabitants of Western Cape mountains are the chacma baboons. They are such awesome animals, that they inspired me to use that name.
Do you play live?
Nope, I have not tried yet. But I might give it a try.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great in the sense that you can get so much exposure. And if the people really like your music, they'll buy your album.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the oppertunity arises, I'll take it.
Your influences?
My musical taste is very diverse, but I dig music from groups like Dead can Dance, Checmical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Shpongle, DJ Food, Telvin Singh, Tannas, Moodphase Five, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Juno Reactor, etc.
Favorite spot?
