yes. it allows fans to hear their favorite bands music even if they cannot afford to buy their cd. it also allows people who are semi interested in a band to further look into their music and decide if they like it without music industries hyping it out like its the next new thing. it creates a broader individualism in the music fans taste...therfor allowing a lot of new genres of music to become more mainstream and heard.
