The band started in 2002 with the name "Post Mortem" with four members: Cesar Reyes(bass), Fernando Jaquez(guitar), Willder batista(vocals) and Yohandy ureña(drums).Cesar and Yohandy used to play together in another rock band but then they decided to make a heavier band so they told Fernando (who used to play in a thrash metal band)to be part of the band.Yohandy who knows Willder's voice told him to be part of the band too. Then they play few concerts and realized that they needed another guitar player so they told Julio Olivo(who used to play with Cesar and YohandY in a rock band) to be part of the band. Later Willder left the band because of some problems and Fernando started singing. With that change they decided to change the band name too because there were few bands with the same name so they decided to call it Altus Mortem, wich is formed by: Cesar Reyes(bass),Fernando Jaquez(vocals and guitar),Julio Olivo(guitar) and Yohandy Ureña(drums).

we all have diferent influences but we are more into DEATH, PANTERA, TOOL, DREAM THEATER and SEPULTURA.
