I'm a singer songwriter with a good day job and a passion for music. I write in a variety of styles, but mostly focused around the church.
Why this name?
ThinkHaus Idea Factory is full name of my idea generation side. I don't have a formal band name, so I use what I create under.
Do you play live?
Most of what I play these days is in and around church. I play acoustic guitar with some electric thrown in for fun. I'd play more often if it payed the bills.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet has and will change everything, from how we shop, to how we research, to how we spend our free time. We've only seen the beginning of what music will do and be online. It should be fun to watch the evolution.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
A songwriting deal. I don't have a desire to be a performer. I'd rather write great songs and let someone else have the face time.
Your influences?
If James Taylor sang around the church he'd be one of my top influences, then there's Wayne Watson, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Russ Taff and people like England Dan and John Ford Coley, etc. Lots of acoustic guitars and storytelling.
Equipment used:
Taylor 714CE acoustic, Yamaha bass, Tradition Jerry Reid model electric
