HandcuFF is hardcore/rapmetal band from ankara,TR. the musical influencies are from biohazard, thumb, downset, factory81 and some NY stuff. Ofcourse we like to play our ethnic sounds and hopefully you'll find many Turkish riffs in the songs. after 2 demo and an EP HandcuFF decided to make songs in Turkish and new recording will be out soon with full of Turkish songs...with more emotion & anger
Why this name?
the band name became from one of the best biohazard song called "Mistaken Identity" and the oart was actually "handcuffed,face down" adn we choose handcuff from that, but if you want a meaning of it, it's obvious ;)
Do you play live?
We play live in many organizations around the country, sure we like it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's good to get an idea about a band but listen mp3s & Buy Cds...respect

About the band;
Handcuff has been found in May 1997 as a hardcore-crossover band by Bahadýr(vocals), Çaðcan(Bass), Levent(Guitar),Özhan(Drums). They've chosen Hardcore/Crossover a their style.An with this members the band released their first demo called "Studio Report" in 1998. Demo was including:
- Face To Face
- Revolt
- Arrested Story
- My Own Wrong
In 1999, little changes were happend at the band area. Özhan(Drums) jump to vocals as 2nd, and their long-time friend Kerem ÖKTEM took the drums. After too many concerts with these members, they released their 2nd and most important demo called "Second Spin" in CD format. the demo was including:
- Come And Play
- So Fast!
- Infested My Brain
- Arrested Story (remixed)
- My Own Wrong (remixed)
This demo was distributed many cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Eskiþehir, Adana, Ýzmir etc, in Turkey. The song called "So Fast",which is written for the earthquakes in 1999 in Turkey, was on many compilation albums. And also remixed version was putted on "KaraDistro Comp vol.I" by IdiotZine founders.
In February 2002, because of the musical differencies one of the founder Özhan(vocals) has left the band.The current members are:
Bahadýr Altýntas-vocals
Levent Yildirim-guitars
Cagcan Aras-bass
Kerem Oktem-drums
