ChipShank from Guitar War/Guitar Battle.
Old School Metal, in the vein of and influenced by; Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, Megadeth, Forbidden, Heathen, Exodus, Savatage, Armored Saint.
As well as newer bands like In Flames, God Forbid, Avenged Sevenfold and Shadow's Fall.

With a good bit of the old Shrapnel-era shreddy stuff thrown in too.

****Updated 9/10/06****
Added 4 new(old) tunes, w/more to come, so check back.
Also, please feel free to drop in a review for any of the tunes....feedback, positive or negative, is always welcome.

****Updated 12/7/06****
In my on going attempt to enter the "modern era" I now have a Myspace page (myspace.com/donmadison). Personally myspace tends to kind of irratate me....but all the cool people are doing it, so WTF are ya gonna do eh?

Thanks
Why this name?
The name "ChipShank", is a long stupid story...came from my golf forum name...but originated during MN Vikings playoff game back in the 80's. LOL
Do you play live?
Not since '93 or so.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it much easier for reclusive-bedroom-musicians to be heard by world wide audiences.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would never happen.....but hell ya, why not?
Band History:
I've played guitar on and off, since about 1984-85 or so. Took a number of years off in the mid-90's and didn't really play at all, until the fall of 02'. Now I'm a full blown guitar-addict once again.
Your influences?
Old School Metal, in the vein of and influenced by; Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, Megadeth, Forbidden, Heathen, Exodus, Savatage, Armored Saint.
As well as newer bands like In Flames, God Forbid, Avenged Sevenfold and Shadow's Fall.

With a good bit of the old Shrapnel-era shreddy stuff thrown in too.
Favorite spot?
Masi Mara game reserve in Kenya.
Equipment used:
Equipment used on these tunes; Dean EVO AS7/Dean Avalanche 7/Squire Stagemaster 7/Squire Jason Ellis model guitars through a Digitech GNX1/V-Amp2/J-Station/POD 2.0/Digitech Genesis 1/Zoom 505II. A 5 string Peavey Millenium BXP5 through the J-Station for the bass.
All recorded on a Boss BR-1180 (older tunes) and in Cakewalk Guitar tracks Pro 2.0 (for recent tunes...w/Fruity Loops for drums/percussion, that's it. I miss the "real" band days. LOL
Anything else...?
I've been going through dry spell in the writing dept. Hoping to have some new stuff up by the end of this year or early 07.
