Binky Goes To Hell is the combined work of two kids....A.Chevalier handles the lyrics and vocals. K.Sesma handles the instrumentation. All songs are based on rhythms provided by a Casio SK5 keyboard.
Why this name?
The name Binky has a very innocent ring to it. Hell sybolizes the epitome of Judeo-Christian grief. We thought that makes a nice contrast.
Do you play live?
We are strictly a studio band at this time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet opens avenues of exposure to the artist who chooses to apply themself. As more artists upload, the individual becomes a speck on the virtual horizon. But it's still fun.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think we could be persuaded.
Band History:
Ms. Binky has a strong backround in indie pop, j-pop, and other styles as well. Mr. Whiskers has been writing and performing for more than 20 years.
Your influences?
Well, i think folks could expect to hear catchy little ditties with spoken word on top.
Favorite spot?
San Francisco is a nice town. London is very cool as well.
Equipment used:
We use a Casio SK5 sampling keyboard. Other than that, just regular old Fender guitar and bass. Occasionally I'll use my Magnatone lap steel guitar.
Anything else...?
Binky Goes To Hell is currently in the studio working on new material.
