Forgive Me
Big Yella is a hard up and coming R&B{mixed with a gangsta/an old school feel}solo music artist,but don't get it mistaken,in a bit over a decade,he has been around!,but mostly behind the music industry scenes,his former group"Soja" arranged songs for Sony Records in Nashville TN.,and from several songs arranged,three went platinum on the country charts such as{Broken Wing, Brothers Keeper, Angels Among Us}.He and his group also opened the 1996 Hawks/Lakers game in ATL.,with the U.S.Anthem,and was on Entertainment Tonight,plus so much more.....,when dealing with an artist like Big Yella, having alot under his belt as he does.....To know him, to hear him,is to be deeply overwhelmed..
Why this name?
I really don't know, it just sort of evolved. I was always called Yella for my skin tone, and as I matured people started calling me Big Yella..
Do you play live?
I sing live every now and then, mostly when I'm not busy working on my music.I enjoy performing on stage when it's the right time, but I don't like to be put on the spot, ya feel me? ha ha..Performing the U.S. Anthem at the Hawks/Lakers game was hype,I hadn't performed for that many people before,earlier in my career, also performing at the Planet Hollywood in ATL. was cool...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can help comercialize new artists, as well as top noch name artists...People can see what you are about, and they can see what you are about to bring!!!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably yes!, if the proposal sounded like it was beneficial to me,as a serious artist, I'm hungry but I'm not gullable.Thankfully, I've been around, so I know what and what not to expect...

1994 Yella joined White Rose Ent. in Atl,but left after several months when his manager, messed up deal with Motown.
1994 Yella joined with others to form the group "Soja"performing on Entertainment Tonight,Planet Hollywood,Hawks/Lakers game Atl.,The Inform for the Black Expo, showcased for Motown, showcased for So So Def,performed numerous times throughout Tennessee and abroad,and early on in his career, he opened for MC Lite.

Your influences?
I would say my musical influences to name a few, are New Edition and Marvin Gaye, but I really grew up listening primarily to Gospel music,I listened to artists such as Rev.John P. Kee, Rev.James Cleveland and Mahalia jackson..
Favorite spot?
I would have to say that I really don't have one....
