Why this name?
Look up the definition of "desolation." -An event that results in total destruction. I'm destroying other producers. period.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I bought College Dropout... it's the first CD i bought since 1997. If someone likes a CD, it'll be bought. But the internet is a way of people hearing unknown artists as well. I don't have a problem with it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I feel I could be consistant with producing, yes.
Your influences?
Timbaland originally, because of his variety of sounds. Then came along Kanye with his sampling. He influenced me to appreciate the older music that my mother would rock back her days.
Favorite spot?
Right here in Houston, TX.
