The Stereo Types is a four-piece ska and hardcore band hailing from salina, ks. they have been together since april of 2002 and are currently promoting their third release
Why this name?
we all agreed that we liked it for various reasons, some of which were the connontations to race, religion, sexuality, and the most powerful stereotypes, the ones we don't even realize exist.
Do you play live?
We enjoy performing live shows, it is our favorite portion of "being in a band." our favorite shows are the malattended venues and heavy metal venues.
one engagement we recently delve into was the use of a medley, of which one is a 20 min/11 songs and another that is 15 min/8 songs.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it made it a lot better (ie, more accessible, cheaper, easier to enter into and succeed, much more independant)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
we are not so cliche as to assume the horridity of the major label, but in all liklihood we would be more than content on (an) indy label(s)
