I am a Christian songwriter from Shropshire in England. I work as 'Music Outreach Minister' at All Saints Church in Wellington and I also teach guitar. I am married to Lucie and we have a baby boy called Charlie
Why this name?
it is my name!
Do you play live?
I live and work in Shropshire, I play in the band at All Saints church and lead worship at various services and events there. I also run regular open mic nights which I play at and I'll generally play at the slightest opportunity!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it allows smaller artists (like me!) to get their music out which can only be a good thing!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I should think so!
Your influences?
i have a wide range of influences: Robin Mark, Josh Ritter, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Counting Crows, Delirious, Paul Simon, Damien Rice, Leeland, U2, Martyn Joseph, Jason Mraz, anything that's good really!
Favorite spot?
not really sure, it would definately be on top of a mountain somewhere, probably the Peak District.
Equipment used:
a beautiful Faith Venus electro-acoustic guitar
Aslin Dane Les Paul style electric
Ashdown Peacemaker 20 amp
selection of stompboxes, eBow, dulcimer hammer, anything else I can use to make interesting noises!
I also use ProTools, Ableton Live and Reason on the laptop for production
Anything else...?
My album - Just A Glimpse - is available for a fiver, email me for more info on how to get hold of a copy.
