We are the DrugKings, a punk rock n' roll band from Spain, but not Punk Rawk in the tradition of the New Bomb Turks, but more in the tradition of the more anthemic Clash or Bad Religion, yeah, a crossover between that two bands would be well explanatory for the interested listeners.
The band is compossed by Javi (me) at the guitars and lead vocals, Pavass King at the Bass guitar and the fiery drummer Willy King, pure nerve.

Why this name?
Because it sounded like the transexuals, you know, the Drag Queens, it's just a stupid joke. We're not drug dealers (some of us do not even smoke).
Do you play live?
We had former bands before, like the Scrapyard Band, the Puke Dude or the Slashers (these are of course, the english translations of our names in Spanish). We played live with all of them, and sometimes you have great shows, sometimes are horrible...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is awful for the labels, but it gives the unknown bands like us a chance to be listened by people from everywhere.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, you know, i'm already exploited in my actual job, so why not be exploited by a major?
Band History:
We've been playin' for a few months, and we rehearsal once a week, but we have got a lot of good songs that haven't been already recorded, and four of them have been recorded, so we have our first 12" (EP), with four songs.
This is just the beginning.

Your influences?
Like i said before, we're highly influenced by the Clash (circa 1978, ya know with Give'em Enough Rope), they were awesome songwriters, but we play these kind of armonies and chords much heavier and faster (influence of the melodic hardcore/punk pop), like a modern Clash. We are also influence by the "Rock en Espanol" bands, because is the language in which we sing our songs.
