Why this name?
It goes back to a female friend that said that I was huggable like a bear!!! My male friends got a big kick out of it!!! I just happen to produce highly acclaimed works of art!! The rest is history!!
Do you play live?
The production thrives off of performing for our fans!!! It can be strenuous balancing studio sessions, performances, and family, but it is all worth it at the completion of the day!!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the industry because it's readily available to the entire world to listen to and provide exposure to underground artists that one couldn't even believe.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would be stupid if I said no!!!! Only if it is beneficial for my entire production!!!
Band History:
Huggable Beats Productions was founded by Big Hug in 1998. The company's facility is located in Dayton, Ohio. This small but wonderful midwest area is obviously rich in talent, intelligence, and determination. If you are in the Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland area, you can check out live performances from Huggable Beats and its artists in all of the local hot spots like, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati Convention Centers, clubs and other venues!!! There will also be special appearances at all of the annual events: Black Cultural Fest.(Dayton), Black Family Reunion(Cincinnati), Block Party(Columbus), Black Expo(Indianapolis), and a variety of Black College Campuses for Ice Breakers nationwide!!
Your influences?
Big Hug, the owner, engineer, and producer of this establishment, has been involved with music production for his entire lifetime. He has inspirations from Dr. Dre, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Jermaine Dupri, Kanye West, P.Diddy, Just Blaze and many more well known artists. This producer's sound is extremely unique; using the latest technology in his totally digital, 24 track facility.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is 'Da Gem City!!! City of 'Da Hundred spokes!!! Birthplace of Aviation!!! Home of 'da Cash Register!!! Inventors of the Ignition!!! Dayton, Ohio!!! I would love to veture out to other places again like Orlando, Virginia, and California because of its beautiful sceneries and gorgeous females!!!

I use the Triton, MPC2000XL, Mo-Phatt, Mackie, Roland, and a whole host of sequencing software and sound modules.(Reasons, Sonar, Module Mania, Fruity, etc.)
