This is ActiveGround…
ActiveGround is a breakbeat live-act formed by Carlos R.P. and Gus G. They got togehter in the year 2000 experimenting with the different styles and backgrounds developing later on to a defined nu skool performance, and in the year 2002 they started hidding under the name ActiveGround.

Their live-act is an experience by itself, where visuals and sounds fight to be the main point of attention. Dark atmospheres, live percussion, animations and video material support the following range of topics:

The first stage is a science fiction story about the name of the band, ilustrated with a manga style cartoon. Tracks like “In this club” or “Go ahead” follow this story. Check out our website for more information about this.

The second stage is about social and political worries, with tracks like “The pledge to resist” against the war in Irak, “Holy mission” about the palestinia-israel problem or “Young Anarkist”, about the young guy killed in Italy during a anti-globalization demostration some years ago.

The third stage is the pure dance. Tracks like “Crystal lines” or “My bombing machine” are good examples of this stage. Raw synth lines, phat basses and crazy drum loops.

This three stages are mixed through a coherent session where a story is told and a message is given, music to dance, but also to listen…. And to watch…This is ActiveGround
