Apparatus and Hand
Apparatus & Hand is one of many pseudonyms of Mark Henson. He makes experimental ilektronik soundscapes, using analogue & digital synths, distorted drum programs, short wave radios & cheap effects units.
Why this name?
Apparatus & Hand is a painting by The Supreme Surrealist, Salvador Dali.
Do you play live?
Only when I'm doing 1st takes !
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It enables people to access sounds that they wouldn't have heard, if the internet didn't exist. Plus there are no record company hassles regarding sales etc.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, but it depends on what deal they would be offering. It has to be beneficial to me.
